Who’s Stephanie?
“Stronger than a garlic milkshake.”
Years ago my favorite corporate head hunter, Randy, used this creative tag line to describe me. He was teasing prospective employers with a visual that challenged their senses so I would be a memorable job candidate. With his help I was. He had no problem finding me a good job. Of course, my time in the corporate world was not destined to last forever, but Randy’s tag line was here to stay.
Remaking the Milkshake
Ultimately, I spent 10 years in the corporate world refining my business and people skills.
When I switched to real estate I thought that my high standards of professional conduct, candid wit, attention to detail and business savvy would attract buyers and sellers like a magnet. Oh, my comical optimism. I quickly learned that what made me “stronger than a garlic milkshake” in the corporate world needed to get even stronger to be successful in real estate.
Educate and Be Educated
So how did I get stronger? The only way I know how, through education and community involvement. I believe that success in life comes from the daily quest to educate and be educated. It’s a two way street. Over time my buyers and sellers unknowingly taught me what they needed to know about real estate by their questions and actions. I responded by spending my own time and money on continuous professional development and industry involvement so I could find the information I knew they needed. The result is that my buyers and sellers are better prepared to make confident decisions for the biggest financial transactions of their lives.
The Rise of Realty Access
My passion to educate and be educated is the inspiration for writing my Realty Access blog. It is my outlet for candid commentary and everyday observations about real estate and Las Vegas. Through the blog I can share the advice, guidance and stories that are passed around by my peers and clients to a broader audience. My goal is to make a little bit of opinionated wit last a long time…just like garlic.
Realty Access.
Get real. Get access.
